The true man behind the manusripts, was it really William Shakespeare?
Because there is no record of William Shakespeare ever having proper schooling many researchers doubt the possibility that he actually wrote all the works he is credited for. They say the known facts of his life do not match up with the quality of his manuscripts. Because of this, some suspect the name ‘William Shakespeare’ to be a penname for another author, Edward de Vere. Other researchers credit the works he is known for to different authors, such as Francis Bacon and Chrisopher Marlowe.
